The construction project for the expansion of the 芦Wastewater Treatment Plant of Buin禄, is part of the development plan for the urban centers incorporated in the Aguas San Pedro concession area. The treatment plant is located in the Commune of Buin, located in the Metropolitan Region and belonging to the province of Maipo. The current facilities are designed for a maximum process flow of 432 m鲁/day, with flow rates of up to 921 m鲁/day being admitted.

The project goal was to design a rapid construction expansion that would allow compliance with the Chilean standard DS 90 in the Buin plant, being able to face with certainty the increase of the flow expected during the year 2016 as a consequence of the increase of population to which it provides service The plant, establishing a flow of design 1,096 m鲁/d, sufficient value to serve the area with expected population increases until 2018.
