The Mañío project takes advantage of the hydroelectric potential of the Conquil river, located in the vicinity of Panguipulli, in the Chilean region of Los Ríos.The project consists of two hydroelectric plants in chain. Upper Mañío is designed for a flow of 2.75 m³/s, wihth a height of 212 m and developing a power of 4.8 MW. The lower Mañío is rated for 4.0 m³/s, with a gross head of 70 m that provide a power of 2.4 MW.

Both plants have a conventional intake, open channel, forebay, penstock and power house. The upper plant is equipped with a Pelton turbine with vertical axis, while the lower one has two horizontal Francis.
